We are happy to announce the results of the Eagle Poetry Contest for 2012-2013. We will give out the awards at the Poetry Cafe this Friday. We invite these poets to read their poems at the Poetry Cafe.

FCCLA & Chik-Fil-A Fundraiser!!

Hunger is a growing problem in our society and as citizens of the community, it’s our job to do all we can to help. Please come join us at Chick-Fil-A on May 23rd from 5-8pm for food and fun. All proceeds will go to the Killeen Food Care Center. We hope to see you there!

All NHS members and those who are newly inducted members: Please remember that there is a meeting this Thursday at 7:00pm in the cafeteria.

Student Council Officer Elections

Student Council will be holding elections for student body officers on May 28th and 29th. Voting will be held during lunch on both days in the commons area. Students will only be allowed to vote once. Please come out and vote on one of these days for your Student Council Officers for 2013-2014!!

Boys Cross Country

For Anyone interested in running boys x-country this fall, there will be an organizational meeting Wednesday May 20, 2013 after school in room 132.

TAKS Scores

TAKS scores will be distributed on May 21 and 22 during lunches in the commons area. Make sure you stop by to get your scores!

Poetry Cafe!

Our last Poetry Cafe of the year will be this Friday, May 24, during A and B lunches in the library. Come on out and enjoy poetry, music and dance! Sign up with Mr. Bass in Room 137. It’s gonna be a party! Oh yeah, free popcorn too! Poetry and popcorn—cool!

Seniors Time Capsule

All Seniors who had Mrs. McCarty last year, please stop by her room to pick up your time capsule beginning tomorrow May 17th!

Locker Clean Out!!!

Locker Clean Out!
On Friday, May 31, we will have locker clean out during 5th period. If you need your lock cut off your locker, you need to do so by Thursday, May 30, by going to the front office to fill out the proper form. All lockers must be cleaned out completely by Friday, May 31.

School Wide Book Turn-In

School Wide Book Turn-in!
On May 30, we will have school-wide book turn-in. If you attend classes off campus (Career Center, TBI, CTC) please turn your books into the bookroom on May 28 and 29. Just as a reminder, all seniors must be cleared of all fines, including book fines, in order to be allowed to walk at graduation. If you have any questions concerning the book turn-in, please see Ms. Yearwood in the APs office.

Senior vs. Faculty basketball game

The senior/faculty basketball game will be on Friday, May 24 during 7th period. Seniors can begin signing up starting Thursday before school in room 140. The last day for sign up will be on Tuesday. Do not come during class. Reminder if you played in the junior/senior volleyball game you will not be allowed to play in the basketball game. Sign up is open to the first 8 boys and 8 girls. You have to be passing all of your classes and not have attendance/discipline issues.

Summer of 2014 trips info.

The July 2014 trip to England and Paris is SOLD OUT. However, if you are still interested in traveling, we just opened up a June 2014 trip to Washington DC and New York City. We also have room remaining in our July 2015 trip to Italy. If you are interested in either of these trips, please see Ms. Cherizard or Ms. McCarty. There will be a parent meeting in Room 323 on May 28 at 6:30 PM. Stop by one of their classrooms to get information to take home to your parents.

YEARBOOK UPDATE!!!!!!!!!

The yearbooks have been delayed due to shipping issues. Yearbooks will NOT be at Ellison until next week. Distribution of yearbooks will start on May 22nd.

Yearbook Info!!

Yearbooks will be available for pick up. May 16th Juniors & Seniors may come by room 170 to pick up their yearbooks. May 17th Freshman and Sophomores may come by room 170 to pick up their yearbooks. After the 17th pick up will be before school, B Lunch, 6th period, and after school only. Please bring your ID to pick up your yearbook. Extra books will be sold through the Lady Under the Stairs for $75.
