Congratulations to Coach Blackman and her Eagle Bowlers on a successful district season! The Eagles completed their district play Tuesday afternoon against the Cove Dawgs. While the boys fell short of the win, they still held strong and took 3rd place in the district. Senior, Jordan “Super J” Garza stayed one step ahead of his singles opponent from Cove, who was in 2nd place for the boys district singles title. In head to head battle, Garza came out on top with a one pin lead in average, putting him at a 220 average and winning the title of Boys District Singles Champion. Our Lady Eagle bowlers were also fighting with the Cove Dawgs, who were seeking revenge from the loss Cove saw last time they played the Eagles. But with Samantha Kriner leading the pack they stayed ahead of the dawgs for most of the match. During the last game, it came down to a 22 pin lead that Cove had over the Lady Eagles. Not to fear! Our Lady Eagles buckled down and shot 7 strikes in a row to end the match 242 to 178, putting the Lady Eagles in 2nd place in district play. Both our boys and girls teams are headed to the Regional Championships March 2, here at Hallmark Lanes. Congrats Eagles and let’s roll on to State!
